1983 is the year EL Rancho Mexican Restaurant opened its door for business in the heart of Southwest Detroit better know as Mexican Town. The Avila family was focused on bringing the flavors of San Luis Potosí to Detroit. They wanted the customers to have a unique dinning experience from our welcoming atmosphere, family style service and awesome Mexican dishes. As the word spread of El Rancho food, so did our popularity establishing EL Rancho as a true local favorite place for authentic delicious Mexican food.  

A lot has changed over the past few decades but one thing is constant, EL Rancho’s commitment and passion to serving the best ingredients, freshly and authentically prepared dishes.
